“A workman is only as good as his tools” the same can be said for music production software. With better and more powerful software you can produce more superior music, with hi-end software like Ableton Live and Reason comes more control, more functionality, and more in-software tools.

There is long been a debate about “Which is the best program to use” and the answer is whichever program works best for you, If you have been creating master pieces in FL Studio for over a decade, there is no real reason to switch and swap between software, most software these days provide a easy upgrade option, giving you the same functionality with the same layout you have grow accustomed to but with updated back-end system. With this in mind all that matters is the final product.

M-Audio fast track usb 2 (MK2) review

Where to begin…… the M-Audio fast track MK2 in a nut shell is quite simply AMAZING. The sound quality (24bit/48khz) is absolutely outstanding, and the device performance is stunning, Need I say more.

To install the device driver is so simple the M-Audio fast track MK2 is borderline plug and play, instead of using the supplied drive I went directly to the M-Audio website and downloaded the more up to date driver to ensure the device will run at its optimum performance.

When producing beats in FL Studio 9, I can stream at 48khz 512 point sinc interpolation with no clipping or stuttering in the audio whatsoever, but of course a decent spec PC helps as well.
